ok i have an software to install but it needs a C: drive
for some little backup files. i dont have a C: drive, they
are named E: F: and G: .

is there any way to avoid the problem ? like some software
to make virtual hard drive or something...

and i used Partition Magic, didnt worked.

i would just go for it, i think if it cant find a hard drive
named c, it will default to a location on your local hard
drive, which is one of the above i am assuming.

If you're using Windows XP you can change the letters of
your drives.

yes, why can't it install on a drive that is not
particularly called "C:"?

letting him use C?

Maybe, I've never used Partition Magic, so I don't know
anything about it's operation

no no no

i can install it on any drive, but during instalation
program asks for a drive C: - some backup files are
installed on this drive. the problem is that none of my
drives are named as C: .

i have win XP, how can i change drives names ?

Right click My Computer and select "Manage". Under "Storage"
click "Disk Management", select a drive, right click and
choose "change drive letter and paths"
