hua..i mentioned him before on this mb...he was invited to
do some comments in some music documentary. he was supposed
to comment on come to daddy video and some others
(radiohead, leftfield, squarepusher...). it was a long time
ago and i can't remember to well. he's a great guy...real
smart and funny. one of the more brilliant slovenains for
sure. a bit wacky, but that's quite common among
philosophers :)

i've read what was he like when he was teaching on some unis
in states...never bothered with everything too much. instead
of giving marks to his students he was like: "you don't have
to show me your papers...if you do i'll have to read it, and
then you probably won't pass, so don't bother" :)

awesome guy indeed!

i have a friend very much into psychoanalysis, specifically
lacan, and he gave me a whole bunch of articles to read..
he's a very good writer and an extremely good thinker, and
several of his books are on his wishlist. it's my birthday
today, if anyone feels like buying them for me.

those books can't be that expensive...and im sure you can
get them in librabries otherwise. it's funny you started
this thread right at the moment when i was checking his
site...
i don't like his political orientation (i hate the party
he's a member of), not as much for their political issues as
for the morons that lead it (zizek not being one of them). i
think he dislikes most of those people now as well, and i
think he's not concerned with politics anymore. good for
him.
