beautiful album...and this guy is apperantly only 17 years
old...quite amazing. it's acoustic guitar and electronica
mixture. very melancholic but non depressing music...some
call it folktronica if that means something to you. it's
noisy at times (fennesz), but full of beautiful melodies...

official site
he's got some samples there...

pitchfork review

anyone else likes it?

It's a really nice album. his technique is spot on with the
songs.

i didn't know he was a member..people that get their albums
out usually stop posting for some reason so i doubt we'll
get to see him around :)

jivverdicker, yeah, real nice selection of different sounds
on songs..no noise in songs where it wouldn't fit..same goes
for guitar..
favourite songs:
-man from the anthill (quite alike fennesz and time hecker)
-daylight and delight
-dusty
-crapstone (first minute and 15 secons are brilliant)
-a little secret
-screen love, space, and the time man
-tattltalent (encore)

judging on that metalfiler site we're not the only ones to
like this music. i've listened to it on repeat for the whole
night...well, before i went to sleep and when i woke up :)
real nice!

The Vermont native's debut album, Handwriting, sounds as
if it lingers underneath a lone, orange phosphorescent
streetlight in the vacant lot outside a gated, suburban
community.

HAHAHAH. I hate Pitchfork.

"In other words, the album's "folktronic" elements are
ornaments rather than qualities that can walk on their own.
But the kid still returns with Polaroids of his adolescence
and sexual frustrations to tack on his bedroom corkboard and
lament over-- red-eyed, backstabbing girlfriends and
all."

oh my.

I saw the review of "handwriting" in the wire too, it seemed
pretty positive. Confrabulations man, that would be a dream
come true for me.

Khonnor, you should either make your vocals more distinct or
get rid of them entirely, IMHO. Nice guitar work!

caught a piece on him on swedish television this weekend. i
had this nagging feeling of remembering his name and having
clicked some links that pointed to his work. it's excellent
stuff.

I heard shoegazing the first time it wafted in and out,
still 10 out of 10 for waiting for relatively recent
sub-cultural genres to go out of vogue before adopting them
as your own.
