well, i had a chrash every other race...always too fast or
something. when i managed to finish i was usually very good
:)
actually everyone was amazed i was able to drive that fast
in my first year...i started racing soon after i got my
drivers license, so i was the youngest in the competition. i
was even in magazines and on tv...a real celebrity :)

slovenia...not much of a competition :)
although there were always competitors from other countries
as well. we were even driving on formula 1 circuits (as we
often had races outside slovenia)...not f1 cars though heh.
i was driving a clio-the same car that won the championship
a year before i got it...i didn't win but it was fun anyway.
i got to know a lot of fun people back then, and we had good
time...that was the best part really.

i just checke don internet...the price for a car like that
(should be a bit less for a racing car i guess) is about
10.000$ overhere. you seem to get everything for
cheapper...a friend of mine is getting a motorbike honda cbr
600 for about 2000$...the price for those bikes overhere is
7.000$. i might get one of those if there are going to be
more...i'd make good money on it :)

as for pics of my racing days..i'll see if i can find
some..
and stories..it's been a real long time and my memory ain't
that good. i remember i slided off the road on my first
race, and luckly i got stuck to some bushes, coz otherwise
i'd fell a long way down..god knows what would have
happened. this way not i was only lucky to not get hurt, but
also the car wasn't badly damaged..ahh. this competition was
made out of rally alike races and circuit races - i liked
these one better, coz of safty and it was more fun to drive
with other people, for all the pushing, overtaking,
duels...i was training so much at that time i'd probably
still remember all the curves even now. i often rented cars
and went there a week before every race just so i knew roads
perfectly before the races...had quite a few close
encounters on trainings as well heh.
before i started i haven't had any experience with
racing...i got noticed when my and my buddies some times
rented cars and went to a racing circuit, and i was able to
match the times of the racing cars with a casul
rent-a-car...i was really mad in those days :)

yeah, rallying is great fun. i think the best part of it is
that it is an affordable sport that nearly everyone can
afford to do.
