You need to mute the channel mixer in order for the sound to
be in sync, due to Cubase's terrible latency. Also, you have
to select the input from your sound, eg Mic In.

It`s then a symple case of playinga note and ensuring the
visual mixer doesn`t go into red, as digital can`t limit
distortion.

Bon Voyage!

is this for mono or stereo?

for mono it's

right click and add an audio track

set the input on in: IN 2 (well that's what i have to to)

you should get a signal then. press record button

First of all, Cubase doesn't have anything to do with the
latency... it's the sound card and drivers.

Alberto's info is good... try that and check for Mono before
you try stereo.

You have to click on "Monitor" on the audio track to be able
to hear the sound, otherwise you'll just see the volume
changing

If you need more detailed information go to www.cubase.net
or something similar where you can ask questions (assuming
you bought the software)

That's bullshit, as Acid has very little latency problems.
Explain that one mofo!!

And don`t give me a pedantic answer.

And i`m speaking as a Cubase 5.0 user. Why use Real World
Studioes, when you have Abbey Road.
