Sorry, the other day you mentioned Kitchens of Distinction.
I wanted to say something to you about them but I was under
teh banzor (quite rightly too). I just want to say, massive
respect, for mentioning them, I saw them live about, ohhh,
20 times. That's all, sorry. I could go on about them a bit
more though.

Ha! Why were you banned?

I think ''4 Men'' is one of the best songs I've ever heard,
it's kinetic. The whole Death of Cool album is pretty sweet,
I love their intensity, they make mundane human shit sound
pretty profound. I also have Love is Hell... what else do I
have to look forward to?

Oh I fell for the trap of responding to ChildrenTalking's
rubbish by calling him names. Bad.

"4 Men".. "4 Men" I know we're going to look like a couple
of raging fruits going on about that song, but... "4 Men",
what song. A tip though, the best version is from the b-side
to the single "First time we opened the capsule", the album
one is still teh awseome though. Ohhhh.... Their best album,
IMO is "Strange Free World".... you get "Quick as rainbows",
"Drive that Fast"... dammnit I have to pop the bugger on
now. Such a good band, another group critically rated but
seldom heard, unfairly labled as showgazing also rans. OH,
oh... I'm going to weep a bit.

"strange free world" has a similar sound to "love is hell"
but with much better production (maybe too polished).

if you like what you've heard so far, you'll like it a lot.

sorry to barge in on you, i'm probably one of the few here
who has these records, too...

The more the merrier you silly fool! I am just listening to
Strange Free World now, I know what you mean but I think
that production just adds to that swelling guitar
sound. How he gets so much out of a guitar, I don't know.
But "Love is Hell" again, will always have a permanent place
in my heart. Are there any live recordings of KOD, the live
version of "Hammer" was just... wooooah! I'm crying a bit
more now. I'm very glad you've heard them too.

"3rd time we opened the capsule".. not the first,
sorry. I got that wrong. It's been a while.

My favourite line is from "Polaroids" which goes something
like "I'll never have a sober night, whilst the drink still
lasts", which has turned out, 15 or so years on, oddly
prophetic.

Scuppers: I know.

i remember a quote, i think from sounds or the nme or
something, which observed that kod "brought the orgasm back
to rock music."
maybe what's most amazing about "love is hell" is how great
it really sounds for being a "cheap" recording. but
"strange free world" clarified the lush sounds.

i'd like to do a cover of "third time..."

I'd get really upset if I was banned for that, I'd probably
make a bunch of accounts with pubes for avatars and talk to
myself...

You're quite right however I must, I MUST point out that I
didn't talk to myself, my reverse pube twin was actually
someone else, the true identity of whom I have an inkling...
someone previously departed, possibly... i have no firm
proof however.... but not me, old boy.

''Here I lie between your thighs, looking up into your eyes,
wondering, if this is a lie''

What, specifically, is this song about? I'm getting crossed
signals and I don't fully ''get'' them yet.

Or is it ''allowed''? Now that could change the whole
dynamic.

In a Cave has some sweet chiming guitars and phat bass.

Well it's, I guess, a song about a relationship, about
perhaps an insecure gentleman, perhaps introverted, than
finds it hard to open up and admit the hot passion that
stirs within his timid soul. Something along those lines.

The word is "allowed", yes.
