Supporting Bush is the Greatest

i'm not much of a thinker but i've obtained a great
affinity for it. it gives me a real sense of worth on this
otherwise useless planet.

i'm not a hardcore conservative, but kerry's record on
weapons defense system is disheartening to tell you the
truth. and

instead of trying to find support from other xltronic
members who are biased as is. try to understand where other
people come from you might learn something.

weapons defense system

didn't prevent us from getting attacked on 9/11, and it
wouldn't have.

yeah but its not only that. his core principles i feel
inhibit him from making good decisions in a time of war. he
has no conviction, you should know he's taken so many
stances on this war that boogles the mind. i'm not a
hardcore bush fan, i'm not republican or democrat but i feel
kerry is a dunce. all he's ever been known for is failing to
support the republicans by not voting for the nuclear freeze
in the 80's to stop the russians (evil empire). then there
was his activism in the 70's which infact prolonged the
vietnam war. i could go on and on. i just dont like the guy.

i believe kerry is a better candidate when it comes to
dealing with economical issues. i also believe he'll cut the
deficit alot quicker than bush by increasing taxes to not
only the top percent but those underneath as well. bush is
one of the largest spenders no doubt. this election i think
its going to come down to whether or not people feel theres
a terrorist threat out there, because without it bush is
expendable.

lines since i live in the beautiful state of virginia that
will go republican whether i vote kerry or not. how i love

completely irrelevant.

I believe its the opposite, you vote for the bogus
(not-bogus) candidate if your state is definately going with
the candidate you want, not the other way around, you goof.
I'm hardcore libertarian myself but I'm gunna vote for kerry
cause I'm not so sure about my state.

you don't get it. my state has voted republican for the last
fifty years. voting kerry isn't going to do any good, its
still going to go republican. its just the way it is. of
course, thats only because everyone thinks that way and then
votes the bogus candidate, but fuck it, i'm sticking with my
principles and voting for a third party, maybe. maybe not.
fuck.

Fuck-heads is all they are; especially John Ashcroft. I'd

probably have his agents busting down my door this morning.
I can't imagine how much more fucked up everything will be,

All of my knowledge about the United States of America comes
from what I read, watch, and hear, and is thus a combination
of media and other people’s experiences, as are all
things; I consider the United States of America to be a
threat on society, a bully to the world, an arrogant
behemoth which enforces its laws and values on the world and
wishes to be the only country with weapons of mass
destruction; there is absolutely nothing redeeming about the
United States of America, which is NOT a democracy, which is
NOT aiding the world, which abuses religion and manipulates
its people on a daily basis.

I`m sorry to point this out, but you seem to spout a lot of
nonsense. You define the Soviet Union to be an evil empire.
What gives you the right to define good and evil? The
arrogance is astounding. It seems to be an inherently
American thing, whereby you are the "good" guys, and anyone
who is disagrees is "evil." France is evil because they
didn`t agree with US. Germany is evil because they learned
their lesson not to get involved in another crazy war like
US. etc etc.

Then you make the ridiculous claim that anti-war activism
during Vietnam prolonged the war. No, insane American,
paranoid over-militarized foreign policy prolonged that war.
At least provide some evidence to back up your soundbites,
instead of mouthing off. Neutral evidence. Non-subjective
evidence. Not some hateful rant column in some
bordering-on-fascist "essay: neo-conservative vision for the
world" or suchlike.

I would support George bush mainly because he makes me
laugh, not because of his politics or anything. (probably a
bad view) My political lecturer on Deleuze at university
doesn't vote, she believes there should be an open arena for
debate, not some guy who u vote in to represent the entire
country. Fair point i guess, but nothing would get done if
millions of people were deciding something

Well Kerry has said that the US needs to lead the world on
dissarmament, instead of producing more nuclear weapons
(bunker busters). If only for that and Stem Cell research he
would get my vote over Bush. Bush has 'nothing' going for
him.

do you believe its people are such as well? that is the most
ignorant and naive thing ive ever heard. basically you are
blaiming the US for all of the worlds problems, and you
imply that its people are also to blame. i see no difference
between the US and any other powerful nation, in fact, the
only difference is that the US gets lambasted for being open
about its hold of power, where as the other first world
nations do exactly the same thing, but do so, quietly. dont
get me wrong, the US has done irreparable damage to many
countries, but i would never demonize the US, as a whole,
for its actions.

yes, but i think everyone places too much importance on the
job of president of the united states of america the
position is described as the commander in chief, not the
leader of the united states, really, the pres of the us does
not hold too much power when you think about it, people
really make too much of a big deal about who has this
position.

maybe america does get too much stick, maybe not? the media
usually don't present the entire truth, things get
exagerated, ignored, or they just work on assumptions most
of the time. So who really knows what happens in Iraq, who
really knows what G bush jnr does? All we know is what the
media tell us, (and in somecase the polticians have good
control of the media.....fox?)(im from the Uk, so i cld be
wrong)

I'm sure the USA have done some good things in Iraq, and I'm
sure they've done some bad. (all the other countries helping
out included) but all we get told is what the media filters
through, all the media cares about is viewing figures and
$$$$, so why should we believe them? (I presume this is
where everyone bases most of their facts)

you make a really good point, todays history class is the
media, which historically is the worst place to get the
facts. but, unfortunately its the easiest way to get
information.

fox news is ideoligically controlled by a right wing

they fall in line like the rest of popular media.

I watch GMTV, i don't know why, but I do it probably cos i'm
still asleep at that time. Some of the facts are so crazy it
becomes funny, they could host a programme on a cat getting
fleas and make it into something super serious that need
urgent national attention. If there is no story, BAM lets
scare some people, or if the stroy isn't interesting enough,
lets scare even more people.

It is true tho, the media is such an accessible source we
all do it. It is slowly forming and changing our opinions.
At least here its a two way thing, so we get a debate. Much
better than someone telling you who to hate, or who is wrong
etc....

bush is in bed with the executives of clearchannel, who
control most if not all of the media the average american
experiences.
most news media is political pundits speaking on behalf of
one of two parties. thats all "debate" shows are, its all
the news channels are. cnn is largely conservative in bias,
fox news is obvious. the sad thing is that americans get
almost all of their news, if they get any, from television,
which is the worst possible place to get it from.
