Who enjoyed this show? I liked/still like it because Richard Dean Anderson rarely if ever resorted to violence. There was always a solution to every problem, a way to be a thorn in the side of heavily armed men using just a bunch of household items and some good old fashioned ingenuity. I just watched him ''invent'' a torch that cut right through an armored van to free a man. What did he use? Just a bicycle, and some rust from old paint cans. Like a knife through butter.
There was also a funny part in today's episode where he was being guarded by a terrorist who was forcing him to fix his getaway plane. McGyver showed him a funny looking tool, and when the clueless terrorist asked him what it was, McGyver said... ''a lateral... cranial... impact... enhancer.'' And bashed his brains in.

Yeah, I've learned a lot from him! I no longer fear being trapped in a closet full of cleaning supplies. I could just invent an acid to burn down the door or something.

i used to really love this show. i carried around a red Swiss-Army Knife and did MacGuyver impressions. My Dad had a MacGuyver haircut.
a memorable episode was when he filled lengths of bamboo with swamp gas to make these javalin-like bombs.
i also remember an episode where he was driving an army jeep along a railroad track (because the wheel bases were nearly the same) and he made a mortor cannon that used the jeep's gearshift knob as a projectile.
The best episodes were the ones with the recurring Murdoch character.

instead of using a terrorist's fully automatic weapon against him he'd distract him with some sand to the eyes, kick him in the face, and tie the guy up with his own shoelaces!
how could you not love that guy?

Hahahahaha! Oh dear.
Today, he jacked a firetruck to escape from the plane hangar. And he used the hose to knock out the bad guys, but in hindsight... I guess that's pretty unimaginative compared to a flaming gearshift.

Get Ikaruga tomorrow and put your week long vacation to good use.
I built this ban-cannon using some vaseline, a portable tire pump, some marbles, and a LOT of elbow grease.
Godspeed, soldier.

Hahaha! They send MacGyver every day on one of the national tv stations in Norway at the moment. It's hilarious! The bad guys are so bad! I saw an episode a few months back where MacGyver dozed off to sleep in front of the TV while watching and old western movie... The entire episode turned into Western MacGyver. It was awesome! He came into this bar packed with drunks and ordered a glass of milk! Heeeeeeehaaaaa!

hahahah!
I remember the one where a whack to his head sent him back in time, and then he was with the knights of the round table, trying to get to some wizard or something, and the scene where the guy falls into the lava, and you see the burning skeleton in the lava! AND to top it off, it wasn't the chinese that invented gunpowder, it was Merlin.. or something...

Its a perfect show. The fact that MacGyver allways managed to get himself out from those situations, not using force, but with his brains and the stuff he got in his hands. These days there is nothing like this, everything is just shit. A few years back they where showing some re-runs of MacGyver, an i watched all of them, it was pure perfection.

I got a big 30 minute compilation of nuclear explosions off of Kazaa a couple years ago, that nuclear cannon was on it... wicked stuff. But yeah, I'm interested in whatever you got, I think those videos are breathtaking. I'd also like to know the backstory to that thing.

i remember that episode, but it wasn't a water pipe. Remember? He melted an ice cube on the lightbulb and directed that water down a pipe and into the lock!
i remember an episode where he plugged a toxic waste leak by stuffing it with chocolate bars. the heat melted the chocolate and carmelized the crack shut.!
