I used to love bicycling until I started to get the knees of
80 year olds.

Once I started I couldn't stop, I now have 47 sets of knees
and 3 loose ones.

my knees hurt pretty bad as well, but i got used to it...oh,
and my arse..it was mostly off road bicycling so i spent
like 4/5 hours per day on a bike...anyway, it was awesome!

Mint- just used the bike to visit a client today and picked
up a new biking jacket while I was in town. I get frustrated
driving the car now though: slow, stuck in traffic etc.
Yourself?

I did my CBT as you know, I've now done my theorry, next
I'll have to do the prractical which I plan to do beforre
next yearr when it's meant to get much harrderr.
The only prroblem is that all this testing is difficult to
get yourrself to do when you'rre on the rroad anyway among
trraffic, you kind of think, why botherr?

Being a mailman i ride the bike everyday at work with an
average extra weight of 50 kgs of mail in the 3 mounted
bags. One bag in front and two on the side.
Going uphill and slamdunking mailboxes etc , its pretty
hardcore. You have to have a good stamina and leg strength.

Its a private owned mailcompany with an average age of 23
that is based on speed. Not the old type of goverment owned
mailmen who stay for a cup of tea at peoples houses , we
ride the bike and run in stairs like our life depended on
it.
It keeps me very fit but i too can feel some pain in the
knees sometimes but that is from running in the stairs and
not biking. If your sadle is adjusted to your height
corectly there shouldn't be an kne issue.

Did you hurt your tush? Puncture a testicle?

Man, I miss biking so much... I had lot of fun cruising
through the woods and across town and on the trails and on
country dirt roads and to the mall to get CDs and games. A
lot of fun.

A lot of fun.

Yep. :_-(

Back when I was a very rowdy (ok, bad) boy. Me and my friend
would go onto the college campus with bolt cutters and take
bikes and ride them to other parts of campus. Back and
forth. I know, I already feel horrible about all this. I was
possessed at the time.

walk since i hurt my knee real bad. I was lucky compared to
another guy who fell in the same way but he lost some of his
teeth, ripped his ear and damaged his spine. i hope my knee
gets better till friday coz ill probably go see ceephax..and
i want to get back on bike as soon as possible...before the
snow that is :)

These winter months sucks. With the fading light more
dickhead drivers seem to populate the roads. My road racing
is on hold until the spring. Indoor rollers just ain;t the
same.
