mechanical animal was a good cd, especially i liked 2 tracks
(slow) very much (i don't remember titles).

then "beautiful people" from antichrist superstar was a
powerful tracks.

no...we only get non extra releases over here...and way too
expensive..i think im going to order stuff from internet
only in the future. i wanted to hear this one so badly i had
to buy it coz it would take at least 5 days if i'd order it
online.
we don't even have new tom waits yet...we definitely suck.

only thing I've ever bought has been holywood... borrowing
mechanical animals and anti-christ before, but they weren't
as good.

he's a pretty clever bloke really, when you hear him in
interviews - he just likes to provoke people a bit too much.

yes, Personal Jesus is a cover from Depeche Mode and his
latest CD (i think it's called 'Lest We Forget') is a
greatest hits compilation...

i haven't listened to them for a long time now but i used to
like 'Antichrist Superstar' and 'Mechanical Animals' a lot;
after that, it went really really downhill to my taste.

most of all I liked these songs by manson: 'Little Horn'
because of a good ear-pressure and aggressive sound,
'Antichrist Superstar' for its sarcastic feel, 'Angel With
The Scabbed Wings' for the funny rhythym, 'Dried Up, Tied
And Dead to The World' for some reason and 'Apple Of Sodom'
from Lost Highway soundtrack.

the best thing to do, is the same tactic as with Reznor's
music - do NOT listen to the actual lyrics!

normally i have to read the lyrics while listening to music
if i want to understand it properly, so that won't be a
problem.

im going to order it on amazon i think...today most likely.

i have no idea why it isn't available here yet, coz normally
we get new releases the same day everyone else does..

are you going to his gig then?
i wish he'd come closer here, but i don't think he's going
to perform anywhere souther of munich :(

I hate it when people diss Reznors lyrics, just seems a
popular thing to say these days. Maybe you should look past
the few silly lyrics and take more notice of the deeper
lyrics. Hurt, amongst others is amazingly written.

Also a good thing with most of Reznors songs is that you
don't need to read the lyrics because with his singing you
can actually hear clearly every word he sings, even live,
which is amazing for this kind of music.

ha ha!

I knew you'd get your panties in a twist, seeing as you're
the only person on the planet over 15 years old who likes
his lyrics!

I'm sorry, there is nothing "deep" about his lyrics, they
are all silly and can be easily compared to any poetry
written by a 15-year-old angst-ridden kid who has a
livejournal.

don't misunderstand me, I like a lot of his music, but
lyrically he really is crap.

Hurt is NOT a good example.

But there are moments where it works. "The devil wants to
fuck me in the back of his car" on that kind of jazzy,
downtempo track where the music cuts out, that works good.

"in the blur of serenity
where did everything get lost?
the flowers of naivete
buried in a layer of frost"

isn't too bad.
