I saw them live last night here in my fair city of Edmonton... The show was amazing! Ive been waiting years and years to see these guys live. And I was defenitly not let down - that much I can say for certain. They played a wide range of material spanning many of their great releases. They did a double encore! Which was fucking awsome, they ended with "Godlike", amazing song live. The whole time most of 'em have smokes in their mouth and they rocked it up hard! What a great night. DJ Acucrack from Chicago opened up for them, cant say that I like drumnbass that much but for some reason KMFDM used them on this tour, they werent bad at all for what they were doing... it was pretty "dark" compared to some stuff ive heard and he would MC over some of his stuff with some yells and shit so it was pretty nice to see something a bit different as far as a DJ set goes, he had a huge screen playing crazy shit on it and sometimes it matched the song and often there would be some guy screaming on this huge screen and it would be in the song... very cool. Seems as if they had actors and shit for their video for their set... interesting. The whole night was great, tons of pot and my girlfriend and I and some friends got to see motherfuckin' KMFDM live!! Such a great set. They said they are coming back within 1 year from now.... cannot wait! |

you're both right. as i understand it, it originally was the phrase mappatazee mentioned, but they soon just started calling themselves by the acronym KMFDM and let people make up whatever they wanted. |

since i live in their adopted hometown i've had the chance to see them a number of times. in my estimation the quality of their show is dependent upon whether Raymond Watts is on the tour. i don't think Sascha has much of a stage presence whereas as Raymond has it in abundance. kmfdm = good, kmfdm + mr. pig = excellent. |
