I suggest you watch this most excellent horror-flick before
the hollow-wood remake comes out. What the heck, you should
check out Ju-on 2 as well.

maybe we should make a thread just on films people should
see before the re-make comes out?

Have you seen who is starring in the re-make of Infernal
Affairs? DiCrapio and Matt Damon!! hahahaha!!!

and no, i'm not joking

haven't see Ju-on yet but i've heard its good, i'l be seeing
it soon. Missed out on the chance to see it at the cinema
though :(

The Korean film A Tale of Two Sisters is the best Horror
film i've seen for a long, long time. I reccomend you see
that if you like asain suspense/horror films... actually i'd
reccomend it to anyone, the story is that good and is
believable too.

And guess what?! Its being re-made by hollywood too!!!!

along with:

The Eye

Dark Water

etc etc...

haha, Hollywood is so lame these days.

I plan to... they were showing it last year at the Bergen
International Film Festival, but it got sold out... now I
can't seem to track it down on dvd anywhere...

however, this year I'm more prepared for the film festival,
and will quickly secure tickets to the pre-premieres of
Ghost in the shell 2 and many many other long-awaited
movies!

Oh , I quite liked Dark water and the eye as well, thanks
for the tip on the two sisters, I'll make sure to check that
one out.
Anyway, I glanced at some production stills the other day,
and one that particularly stood out as disappointing was,
how surprising, a cgi rendering too obvious. What did come
as a pleasant surprise though was that they cast the same
Japanese actress to play the role of the ghost.
It could well be that this movie does nothing for you, but
to me it's the creepiest movie I've seen to date, one of
those rare flicks that leaves it's atmosphere in your room
afterwards.

It's still a remake ain't it? They don't often turn out alot
better than the originals.
