I'd rather be cold than warm because you can put on more blankets, but in summer stripping everything isn't enough. Leaves are pretty. I'm an idiot.

plus it's only one step away from winter, which is clearly the best season.

I much prefer early-mid Autumn to summer, fucking steaming hot and sweaty and searing. I really like walking around old neighbourhoods when the trees are redyellowandorange, I like the crunch. And the temperature is usually bearable.
I really don't like the weird transitions there can be between Fall and Winter, though... I don't like skeletal trees unless they're coated in ice. It's like an ugly wasteland once all the leaves are goners. Hopefully, this winter can be really agressive, like the last few.

autumn would be nice if it wasn't for autumn skies and (mostly) classes starting again... it's my least favourite season : (
i don't know if i'll take a sabbatic year someday so i could really enjoy all seasons freely and maybe have time to do travels and stuff. that would be nice. (but of course i'd have to convince my parents, and classes starting) this way i think i would enjoy autumn more....

Even the big November holiday is all about death death death, and remembering all sorts of dead people. ''November'', the word conjures up Gothy album covers and rows and rows of military graves on rolling hills.
There's definitely something a bit ''off'' about November. I'm not sure why, either.

the Autumn Equinox: Amethyst Deceivers EP by Coil is awesome.
and while you're at it, try all four equinox/solstice EPs! they're combined in a double CD set called "Moon's Milk [in four phases]", which is of course awesome (and has nice artwork by Steven Stapleton). : )

This is also one of my favourite albums. Walking alone on cold, foggy nights through deserted streets, that's what it reminds me of. Very autumn/wintery.
