possibly whisky.

Jeanette is playing in a 9-ball pool tournament. She will
win if she sinks the 9-ball from the final rack, so she
needs to line up her shot precisely. Both the cue ball and
the 9-ball have mass m, and the cue ball is hit at an
initial speed of v_i. Jeanette carefully hits the cue ball
into the 9-ball off center, so that when the balls collide,
they move away from each other at the same angle theta from
the direction in which the cue ball was originally traveling
(see figure). Furthermore, after the collision, the cue ball
moves away at speed v_f, while the 9-ball moves at speed
v_9. View Figure

For the purposes of this problem, assume that the collision
is perfectly elastic, neglect friction, and ignore the
spinning of the balls.

Find the angle theta that the 9-ball travels away from the
horizontal, as shown in the figure. Express your answer in
degrees to three significant figures.

thats what im doin, and its not going anywhere. fuck.

i don't know where this will lead me or how far i'll make it
(i passed 1st year without much problems, but i've heard it
gets harder and harder and more and more annoying/boring
quickly), but i'll try anyway.

if i give up, maybe i'll try, uh, philosophy or english
or.... *shrugs* whatever i find.

Looks like everyone is fairly busy; be it buying dvds or
studying.

I'm setting up a wall mounted 5.1 surround sound system
right now so that my dvds can make me giggle.

Nothing. I'm supposed to be looking for a job, but I'm
having WAY too much fun sitting around in my PJs all day
listening to music and playing video games. I have
confidence in myself, when I feel like doing something
worthwhile or getting a good job, I'll do it at my leisure.
But I'm just playing mind games with my mom right now.
Toughen up and kick me out, why don't you?

im studying graphic design at uni. kind of looking for a
part time / casual job to make a bit of money too. For the
moment I do photo restoration, which is good money, work
from home, but not many jobs. Im looking for work at a music
shop, or a book shop, or something.

And on my days off uni, I mostly sit around in my PJs like
you Ophecks, its great isnt it.

I went to a greek resteraunt the other night, and the
workers there kept asking why I had a girls name. However,
the food was splendid.

right now i'm sitting at my job, pretending that I'm
working. Drinking tea, wasting time on xlt, looking out of
the window on my left.

Yesterday had some good time exploring an industrial area
near the Dnieper river with two good friends. It was fun to
have a dinner on top of some metal tower near water, used to
load ships, maybe, with a superb view of the wide river.
