bought this yesterday. couple of good songs on this. its
sort of different, and sort of the same. its got some good
ideas. one of the songs seems like it should be a faster
tempo and is quite strange, like dnb being played at 33rpm
not 45rpm but not sounding slowed down, strange, but very
interesting. anyone have any thoughts on this?

The samples sound kind of really fucking awful.

I think that it sounds a bit like Mr. Oizo and some kinda of
dnb jungle/ uk garage massup mixed in with a bit of not
quite as frantic venetian snares.

I have discovered that some of the tracks i.e. So Malleable
are very good for djing. they are great to chop in and out
of other tracks.

This release is good for warp of late, some of their more
recent releases I haven't like much (I liked Jimmy Edgar -am
I weird?). and !!! was not good at all.

[as an aside was i the only one to think !!! was
'arrrrggggghhhhh' not chk chk chk. when i found out they
were chk chk chk, I was most dissapointed. I thought !!! was
the textual equivalent of Munch's 'The Scream'. obviously
not!!! (pun intended) ]

thing at all. all in all i like this more than i usually
like new releases.

i think the oizo thing is from So Malleable. perhaps i am
wrong though. I havent listened to it today, I only bought
the record yesterday! I might be getting confused, since I
did buy a oizo 12" as well! haha. i also bought a 3x12" of
about 100 1960s tv theme tunes so maybe that has influenced
my brain a bit ;)
