(in video games or anything, books, movies, stories of any
kind.....)
what do you think of them? do you like to have a choice
(even though it is limited)? or do you prefer the scenario
to be definite?

i personally prefer "open" endings, where you can imagine
what you want after the "end", over multiple ones....

(and in video games with multiple endings i'd always try to
get the best one, sometimes even getting spoilers just to
make sure i don't get a sad ending... ' _')

choice in endings in computergames is mostly related to
choices you make earlier in the game, when you don't
actually even know you're sending the game towards that
ending, so it's still not much of a choice.

it differs per book/film/interactive porn whether I want an
open or closed ending.

now.. choose-your-own-adventure books, like Fighting
Fantasy, THOSE are a whole different bunch of stories..

Man, I used to do loads of those Fighting Fantasy books when
I was a kid. I kind of miss them.

multiple endings = good.

open endings = only good when executed skillfully, otherwise
i think they're a cop out from having to come up with a good
conclusion.

choose your own adventure = radical to the max.

i have been wondering for sometime if you can get dvds
similar to those old choose your own adventure books. and if
you can't, why not!? :)
