What do you think is their best song?

What does the name Sigur ros mean anyway?

I like their song with the video of retarded people dressed
as angels. I forget what it's called - ruaaa var ta klaaa
lahaaar or something.

Their name means crying rabbit.

No sigur ros is short for sigourney rose, the sister of
jonsi (lead singer). who was born at the same time as the
band formed.

The name is drawn from the female name "Sigurrós" which
means Victory Rose if you translate it directly.

''Staralfur'' is far and away my favorite Sigur Ros track,
breathtaking strings. I don't care much for Von, but
''Myrkur'' might be my second favorite track. Sounds like a
speedier Pink Floyd... maybe it's the cymbals.

the name sigur ros means "pant shrink"
apparently, their inspiration comes from eddie jumping over
fucking huge hamburgers on his rollerskates.

JiverDicker, it's Jón Sigurðsson. People always type "ð"
as an "o" although it's more close to a "d". It's just a "d"
with a tale through it and sounds something like "th" in
this.
