thanks.. i used this avatar briefly over a year ago ok so my computer was fucking up tonight just as i had a whole cd ready to burn featuring 5 brand new radio promo spots (pretty funny if i do say so myself) and some new music. so once i get here of course i have to unlock the station again because like last week, the previous dj didn't show up, the booth is locked, and bluegrass cd's are playing. so i get here and find the tape deck is gone. this has never happened in 3+ years! i've taped 99% of my shows for paula since fall 2001. well i talked to the station manager and she reminded me i could record to cd-r, but she doesn't know how to do it. i said i'd figure it out. so i went and got some blank cd's while she came down and left me a key to unlock the cd burner (it's not software, it's a machine, probably because it runs through the console in order to tape everything). once i figured everything out i started 25 minutes into my show time. it's recording to cd-r, fingers crossed. you've missed (if you hadn't been tuned in): jawbox - static (peel session version) fucking awesome rock 'n' roll band from dc (defunct) tricky - ponderosa and now it's on plug - feelings thanks to all tuning in.. it makes the hassle feel worth it |

does anyone else own this dj shadow live album? what do you think of it? i love it. it's my 3rd favorite album this year, behind bjork and madvillain. this song playing is a tricked out version of "fixed income." how are you any Weezey?! |

i need to buy more muslimgauze albums myself, i just have that one. IronLung i was thinking of you when i secured this timeslot (requested it, even though it means less xltronic listeners i can play whatever i want because the FCC permits explicit language after 10pm). i remembered you used to listen when i had this timeslot 2 years ago. bjork is on NEXT! i'll try to play some boc for you in the future. have a specific request? i rarely play anything on hi scores or twoism so if you want to hear something from that i'd definitely play it. |
