I don't have the motivation to investigate this in depth
myself, but that seemed like enough of an intelligently
written advocacy against gmail for me to probably not use
it. There's always the possibility that that anti-gmail site
is political in nature... like someone with a competing
email service that costs money maybe wrote it.. bashing
gmail with well crafted bullshit just because it will be
financially devestating to themselves. I've read some mean
things linux people have said about bill gates, actually
attacking his character, not his ideas or company for
example.

heh, just doing your job to help them "test" it? I'm
personally helping them test it by not using it at all yet.
Maybe I'll help uncover some sort of bug that deletes
inactive accounts in 9 days instead of 9 months.. a simple
human error in the code.

they way they have gone about this is genius imo.

probably one of the most successful marketing campaigns in
history, and in addition they get the world's biggest group
