Spoo! That's crazy. What a neat doggie. I want to walk him
through the neighborhoods where the short people live.

put down too, right?

If that dog gets in a harry potter movie, can you imagine
all the shit sacks who are going to cut the front legs off
their puppies and train them to do that?

Not to be upstaged by the Americans, scientists in
Newfoundland are developing an entirely limbless dog that
hovers.

I read that as "dog that hoovers"...which I thought would be
a real convenience for housewives in the newfoundland area.
A hover dog would be good too though...I suppose...just a
bit useless. People would be like "amazing, kind sir, your
dog does hover like magic" but then then next time they see
you they wouldn't be impressed, whereas people always say "I
went round to mrs newfoundlands house and it was spotless as
always, it is like she has some sort of hoover dog".

in order for limbless dog to hoover, he has to hover

Or be on a robotic platform or be carried around by it's
owner.

Think outside the box.

Or hang from a complex string-track system on the ceiling.

Great minds stink alike, it's a funny image though, the dog
there on its strings, the owner there on his strings,
everyone on strings, strings, strings everywhere, there is
no escape from the strings, strings hanging from strings,
and even strings inside your own face, you cannot escape the
strings however hard you try so just give up, man.

hmm if u carry him to hoover , than its no use, u can carry
a hoover than
but the string track ceiling system sounds interesting
im gonna suggest that to my flatmates

offline sneakattack on 2004-09-10 21:01 [#01331534]

see how fucked its lower abdomen looks? It has not evolved
proper reinforcement in it's lower back for this sort of
posture--it's really going to be miserable when older.

but if it barks, then its gonna drop the hoover
hmm, its a complicated problem
but one must not give up when facing it

I disagree. They could have built some wheeled contraption
that it slides its torso into and can move around much more
pleasantly. you seen the people they sometimes keep alive?
don't tell me that we're better.

Sneakattack, I heard about this earlier from my friend who's
a Harry Potter nut, and I thought the same thing. Teaching
it to walk upright is going to cause massive problems for
the pooch.
