something like "my hero" on the BBC.

that programme is truly dire.

compared to frasier or friends, it's hilarious

I quite like Frasier.

"my hero" is maybe hilarious compared to footage from
Beslan.

i only made this statement in actuality of a few ppl i know
over there, and actually 2 gentlemen i met at a bar tonight
who were from the UK no business trip and were flying back
tonight.

they were rabbling on to me over and over about the
television and how they "somethings omething " didnt see all
of that where they were from ,and found it interesting.

I really couldnt ask them / him to repeat himself too many
times, as that would be rude.

but it was all in a good course of exchangement

I miss cheers; i was just old enough to catch the "last
episode" and at the time I didn't quite know what they meant
by that. But I still remember it.

Funny how that works

i was actually just saying that as i've never seen any
european comedy outside of bbc shows, which i actually think
are alot funnier than most anything on american tv.

the only one i can think of which is worst than othe one you
just mentioned (too scared to mention it again, 3 times the
fucking candyman will appear) is birds of a feather. oh, the
hilarity of the class clash with regards cultural norms.
fucking hell, it was bad.

the office is funny, although its not technically a sitcom.

i think you're picking on k9. it's not his fault he could
only move at 2mph over concrete surfaces. you also missed
out duty free.

Oh Duty Free, the Beckettian, studio bound holiday
programme.

If you can get the clip of the intro to K9 and Company, when
he's sitting on the wall rather precariously, .... oh, I had
tears in my eyes.

chemlsford 1-2-3 had its moments, before rory "they think
your career is all over" mcgrath fell out with jimmy
"another shit sitcom, what was it called?" mulville. and of
course, 7 series of drop the dead donkey still stand up to
repeated viewing. excellent stuff.

I like the way they show Elisabeth Sladen reading the paper,
drinking a glass of wine outside in the chilly, eternal
autumn that is 80s Britain, and then going off driving. You
wouldn't get that now.

The Christmas BBC ident is a super bonus too.

Did they fall out? I used to love Who Dares Wins, I went to
see them at Lewisham Theatre.

absolutely fabulous has its moments, but ya, its still an
overall weak show...

the only other british sitcom i've watched was...shit i
forget the name, but it had the character Hyacinth Bucket
pronounced bouquet

I'm trying to think of more without resorting to visiting
the InnerWeb....

Me and My Girl (though i did fancy her)
Birds of a Feather is the shittest and has ruined many a
Xmas with its "specials"
same goes for Fools and Horses
the thing with Dennis Waterman and Rula Lenska (I can't
spell)
Home James with Jim Davidson

Some of the dutch 'sitcoms' we get here are truly worth
being ashamed of.
