this game was so difficult i felt i deserved a prize after finishing it. it tested my patience at certain points and it was mentally draining especially the final boss ghaleon. those who've played the game and have completed it i share your pain.

I don't remember this game being too hard. Now a shitty ass game that was difficult and I somehow was able to beat was Beyond the Beyond. I haven't played SSS in a long time though. I got it when it was first for the PSOne and beat it soon after. Now, Eternal Blue on the otherhand I got a save from a long time ago right before the last boss with everyone in the 50s and I got my butt handed to me on it's 2nd form. If I ever get back to it, I gotta level up.

I remember playing this (or at least one of the games in this series, maybe Eternal Blue) on Sega CD, I thought the bath scene was pretty scandalous.
Rev- Beyond the Beyond! I never played it and I don't regret that, but I remember seeing it in game magazines before the PS1 even launched. I thought the graphics looked superb. Nice big 2D sprites on 3D backgrounds. Now all PS1 graphics look pretty hideous, while SNES games still manage to please the eye.

if you want to talk stupidly difficult games due to poor game design, lets talk Saga Frontier. could have been quite good, but most of it doesn't make any sense at all.
lunar is a nice rpg, but i got dragon quest VII a few days ago and that game kicks most rpgs asses.

I just beat DW7 about 2 months ago. I also had that since it first came out, but could never get around to beating it. As for SF...I beat Blue's quest (I lost to his twin, so I became him), but none of the others. The game is too linear. No solid story whatsoever.
About DW7: Get Sword Dance asap for all of your chars. You have to master the Warrior class and then become "matured" in the dancer class. And if you just started...well worry about that later, you wont get classes for another 10 hours or so.

oh yeah, dragon warrior, i don't know why i'm calling it dragon quest. yeah, i just started it, so i'm not worried about any of that stuff with classes just yet.
the only quest in saga frontier i ever beat was the robots.
