(the only reason why i'm still replying to idm-related threads is to pass the time... but what the hell... here's my two cents) ICBYD is better in my opinion. more varied, more disparate but also more... "deep", mature... takes longer to appreciate too. i liked RDJ album better at first, but i got bored of it quite quickly - it's "instant music", you can love it instantly but you also seem to hear it all instantly and i didn't get the feeling that i was finding new things at each listen, which i did with ICBYD. ...now, i could give RDJ album another try someday though, i haven't played it in months or maybe years - i'm about to go downstairs and play Zelda Master Quest (or try to beat that fucking Metroid Prime in Metroid Prime, i need to do that too but i can't find the motivation, i know i won't have any new worlds to explore...), but maybe after that... some weeks ago when i played ICYBD again, i hadn't played it in months and it was really lovely and pleasant to hear it again = ) |
