In Marlowe's Best Day of My Life thread, someone
recommended a track named "Tishbite" by the Cocteau Twins. I
downloaded it and quite liked it.

I'd like to hear some more. Does anyone have any
recommendations? Not albums, just individual tracks. I'm on
dialup, so if I download a few more tracks and like them
then I might buy an album.

Ta!

I can recommend the track "Lorelei"... good one.
I haven't heard much CT though.

my favorite albums of the cocteau twins are:

heaven or las vegas
blue bell knoll
victorialand
garlands
4 calendar cafe.

the most accessible of those i would say are heaven or las
vegas and 4 calendar cafe.

i recommend all of it though

tracks to check out (my favs):

oomingmak
five ten fiftyfold
persephone
cherry-coloured funk
fotzepolitic
frou-frou foxes in midsummer fire
seekers who are lovers
violaine
wax and wane
but i'm not

this is a variety of tracks from the early 80s to the mid
90s, so you'll get a pretty good idea of which album from
which period you like best. hope you find anything to your
liking. :)

Lorelei is one of the best things I've ever heard, so
precious. In fact, Treasure is top loaded, a lot of my
favorite Cocteau Twins tracks are on there... Ivo is spiffy.
Moon and Melodies being a close second, weirdly enough...
very ethereal sound.

treasure is my favourite.

garlands if you want something other worldly with a hard
edge,

victorialand for ethereal.

bluebell knoll is beautiful.

heaven or las vegas is in my opinion, their last good
album.
i don't really dig 4 calendar cafe. it's lost the 'edge' if
you ask me.

Don't forget to check out Dead Can Dance and Lisa Gerrard,
on the same label and just as awesome.
