someone said Mike Paradinas had to go back to working at Boots the Chemist because he isn't making enough money from music... is this true? If so, this is a sorry state of the music industry and makes me think twice about downloading any more music.

Maybe it will give him the inspiration he needs to make the intelligent pharmaceutical album we have all been waiting for. He can at least tell venetian snares the names of all the chemicals so he can use them as the title of his next album.

that's what I was wondering myself and if it's true I feel very sad for him. I mean he's an established artist (and I really like the music he makes) + runs his own label.
That ought to do it, and if it doesn't - that sucks.

I dislike this negative comment. I think it's important that musicians are able to make a living as musicians. I don't understand people who don't support artists cause they don't think that musicians/artists etc is a "real" profession. That's just BS. Artists (persons who display in their work qualities such as imagination) are perhaps the most important profession, and perhaps also the ONLY REAL PROFESSION. I mean back when humans still lived in the nature, and there was no jobs (just eating fruit and having a jolly good time) there were people who didn't just want to play and sing all day - they also wanted to create.
Now some of these ended up creating what the society is and has become today, but other created music, poetry and images.
It's important to support art.
(I'm done, but yeah I understand that it can be a good thing not HAVING to releease a new album at a certain rate to make a living, but since things are changing; that might not be a demand anymore, soon.)

my point wasn't that he's not a credited musician, my point was that electronic music doesn't sell as well as other musics.
