i member the square-ass lickfest alright but she seems to
genuinely dig all the artists she creams over.

hows she look?

not as cute as she sounds - but not to be ejected from the
bedroom for munching on some crisps either

manson once and she was shocking

hobbs really grates me sometimes. she has no idea how to use
a mic, shouting into it all the time; fucking all the levels
up so her voice comes through twice as loud as the tracks
she plays. she doesn't know when to breathe either. she
makes dribbly-sucking sounds when she runs out of air. a
sharp intake of breath, and she's off again. she seems
unable to express her love of a track without making eating
noises and saying things like "pant-wettingly good"
(*shudder*).
and, as some of you have said, she's disgustingly
obsequious.
it's as though the bbc hired a giggling, unprofessional,
brash schoolgirl to host one of their most interesting
shows; because, when she's not shouting, wheezing, knocking
into the mic, flattering musicians and making that odd
sucking sound.. she plays some good records.

'tis.

i like the music she plays but.. i dunno. can get it from
john peel too and he's far less annoying and learned when it
comes to an incredible amount of music

three cheers for john peel.. the most deadpan man in all the
land.

doesn't matter how much he says he loves a piece of music,
you're never sure if he actually means it or not.
he's never pretentious about the music either.. not the way
hobbs is. and whiley is worse than hobbs. i went to school
with a girl just like whiley. someone who thought they knew
loads about music, and actually knew very little at all. a
petty little "alternative" music snob.
she was a lovely person though. maybe whiley is too.

Ah, John Peel.... he just has you hanging on to every word,
wondering if he can ever say anything wrong and he never
does, even when he completely mispronounces a crazy artist
name or record label, it's not wrong it's just the new way
to say it.

i listen to Peel all the time in work... he's "fab". ....
and defo mr. deadpan. last week he desribed how he deleted 7
hours worth of his autobiography from his PC and said "i was
positively catatonic" in the most deadpannist way ever -
hilarious!

yay for john. we should start a little appreciation club.

i can't believe they're shifting peel's show back an hour
though; it's all part of radio one's new schedule.
apparently john wasn't very happy about it at all.

never really listened to any John Peel shows but i just
looked at the website and PJ Harvey and Nina Nastasia are on
the fron page, both awesome artists!

What kind of music does he play? Is it a mixture of genres
or just alternative? Might listen to the show tonight.
