Strange music ! The strangest TRACK ever !

George Bush Jr. from Whitehouse on 2002-01-15 22:32 [#00070391]

I want you all to tell me the STRANGEST piece of music
you've ever listened to (no merzbow noise installation
crap)

Here are some strange tracks

Mouse on Mars - Die innere Orange
Cyclo - C5.1
Scratch pet land - Mika hik drumkit

Jarworski from Wales on 2002-01-15 22:35 [#00070392]

Strangest music in my collection:

Melt Banana
Anal Cunt
Eternal
Bon Jovi

/-T|K|R-\ from the start on 2002-01-15 22:36 [#00070393]

the one and only John Barry every body

Quadrapelegicrobotikev from mp3.com/quadrapelegicrobotik on 2002-01-16 00:17 [#00070446]

the funniest thing about anal cunt (aka A.C.)
is that they put about 40 tracks on each album.
Most are quick brutal ass jokes.

I wouldn't label anything I had the chance to listen to for
the last 5 years as weird.

Steve Roden - Airria (hanging garden), second version

^
probably not the strangest thing in my collection, but
anyway it's weird, unsettling/scary, definitely not the kind
of thing you hear everyday, freely downloadable from here...
and very good imo.

The Residents, Coil, Nurse With Wound have done some weird
things, too. among many others.

try "Human Human Human" by Nurse With Wound & Organum.

in other news, Nurse With Wound IS strange... according to
David Tibet (Current 93)... he will have a hip hop album
coming out in the next few years, as he is obsessed with
Missy Elliot... should be sweet... but i guess i'm still
looking forward to his massive collab with xhol, jim
o'rourke, cyclob, and whoever else it was...

funny all this attention to Missy Elliot. i remember
thinking "one minute man" was the shit when i first heard it
years ago, some dude was rocking it on his boom box one day
at venice beach and it sounded sooo good to me. i've heard
RDJ even mention her in interviews.

Trout Mask Replica is very odd. I like it.

Also, Shooby Taylor "The Human Horn" is extremely odd.

Well for me, I found the Yellow Magic Orchestra cover of
"Stand Up" to be bizarre... or after listening to
experimental music for a decent stretch, even John Denver
sounds alien. It can depend on what you get used to and
acclimated too, I suppose.
