 | Drive boy dog boy Dirty numb angel boy
 In the doorway boy
 She was a lipstick boy
 She was a beautiful boy
 And tears boy
And all in your innerspace boy
 You had
 hands girl boy
 and steel boy
 You had chemicals boy
I've grown so close to you
Boy and you just groan boy
 She said comeover comeover
 She smiled at you boy.

 Drive boy dog boy
 Dirty numb angel boy
 In the doorway boy
 She was a lipstick boy
 She was a beautiful boy
 And tears boy
And all in your innerspace boy
 You had

 You had chemicals boy
I've grown so close to you
Boy and you just groan boy
 She said comeover comeover
 She smiled at you boy.

 Let your feelings slip boy
 But never your mask boy
Random blonde bio high density rhythm
Blonde boy blonde country blonde high density
 You are my drug boy
 You're real boy
Speak to me and boy dog
 Dirty numb cracking boy
 You get wet boy
 Big big time boy
 Acid bear boy
Babes and babes and babes and babes and babes
 And remembering nothing boy
You like my tin horn boy and get
 Wet like an angel
 Derail

 You got a velvet mouth
 You're so succulent and beautiful
 Shimmering and dirty
 Wonderful and hot times
 On your telephone line
 And god and everything
 On your telephone
 And in walk an angel

And look at me your mom
 Squatting pissed in a tube-
 hole at Tottenham Court Road
I just come out of the ship
 Talking to the most
 Blonde I ever met
 Shouting
 Lager lager lager lager
 Shouting
 Lager lager lager lager
 Shouting...
 Lager lager lager
 Shouting
 Mega mega white thing
 Mega mega white thing
 Mega mega white thing
 Mega mega
 Shouting lager lager lager lager
 Mega mega white thing
 Mega mega white thing
So many things to see and do
 In the tube hole true
 Blonde going back to Romford
Mega mega mega going back to Romford
Hi mom are you having fun
And now are you on your way
 To a new tension
 headache

 Explain ?

uzim is right about these lyrics, its like free association,
the words mount up and evoke a picture they don't explicitly
or specifically refer to something. Though I am sure I read
that they were inspired by personal experience.
I.m.o. they are excellent lyrics that compliment the music

 | hahaha frankie goes to hollywood.. spot on 'august.
i never liked this song.. or the lyrics.
 they're shite.

oh, and i'm not one of those people that insists on
meaningful lyrics in music, either. that's not why i
 dislike the track.
as far as i'm concerned, vocals are just another layer of
the music. whether they say something witty, evocative or
not is not the focal point. lets face it, there aren't
that many gifted poets/lyricists out there. most of
them just string a few interesting cliches together & tag
them to a melody or mode of delivery..
if it sounds good, it is good.. if they do happen to
be saying something really powerful - well then that's just
 a special bonus.

in the case of underworld, however, carl is saying nothing
in a way that (to me) most definitely doesn't sound good.

even underworld themselves said that it was a piss-take
track they did as an afterthought one late night in the
studio. they didn't think much of it until it blew up.

 | I thought the funny thing about this song is that all the piss-head yobs took this song to heart because of the lager!
lager! lyrics, but it's more about the shitiness of being
pissed, as experience by Karl when he liked a drink.
Most of the lyrics he writes are stitched together from
lines and words he scribbles down whenever he thinks of
something. Most of the time they don't mean much, but they
 sound good.

 | Underworld have far better lyrics in a similar vein:
 ...dead alive...
 ...auto...
 ...dental mint drug...

 sweet in winter
 sweet in the rain
 shake well before use
 she said,
"you never touch me anymore this way"

 connector-in
 receiver-out
you let me in through the backdoor

 ...loosen up...
 ...it's like i'm vomiting...
 ...all night dancing...
 ...let him start...
 ...drip...

ride the sainted rythms on the midnight train to romford

 ride the sainted rythms

 sweet in winter
 sweet in the rain
 shake well before use
 she said,
"you never touch me anymore this way"

 (oh no)
 connector...

 (you're a)
 connector...

 i'm so dirty
and the light it blinds my eyes

 you're oh so dirty
and the light it blinds my eyes

 here comes christ on crutches

 ...ten cents to boot...
 ...check him undercover...
 ...huh? who else-

 "call me wet trampoline,"
 she said today
but i was too busy with my head
 shake well before use
 she said,
"but you never touch me anymore"
i was busy listening for phonesex
 coming through the back door

 in her skin tight trunks
 and we all went
 mental
 and dancing

...ah yes, did you get in...
...tell the others did you get in...
...look in the dirty erotic fantasy...
 ...huh...
 ...hey...
 ...big thoughts...

i get my kicks on channel six...
 to the off-peak electricity

and the light blinds my eyes
 and i feel dirty

 hey-ohhhoooooo-ohhh

and the light blinds my eyes
 and i feel so

 shaken in my faith

 here comes christ on crutches

and here comes another god (here comes another god)
like a buffalo thunder with a smell of sugar
and a velvet tongue and designer voodoo
but i got phonesex to see me through
 the emptiness in my 501s
freeze dried in my new religion
and my teeth stuffed back in my head

i get my kicks on channel six...

i get my kicks on channel six
the light it blinds my eyes
 and i feel so dirty
 (i feel so dirty)
 and so
