my dumb ass american cable system just got around to
finishining up , showing all the games and whatnot. im a new
fan of the sport , and i was wondering what yalls opinions
of the tournament were .. i thought it was rather exciting
at imes , glad to see an underdog win . and i learned quite
a bit about the rules of the game , and some of the slang
and terminolgy used. some of british websites that ive
surfed , are absoilutelyu hilarious , they are mostly about
some fuck gheye looking brands of clothes called names like
stone island and aquasputum (rofl) than the actual game ...
also they have "calling cards" , i guess after you recieve a
severe beating , they tuck a card into your pocket or
soemthing ! what a revelation theser sites are ! .... also i
was wondering what a couple cool teams were to follow ... i
saw a bad ass team of the brazilian league on tv a couple
times so right now i am a tentative "supoporter" lol of
"corinthians" ..... am i correct in you are only allowed to
support one team ? or one team in each division ? How
does relegation work exactly ? the bottom three teams at the
end of the season go down , and the top three of league 2 go
up ? what about leagues 3 and 4 ? do they relegate as well ?
I noticed that the leeds peacocks were relegated , i think
that is a good thing .. the lkower division looks pretty
cool and the fans seem to get a lot more rowdy and drunk. I
saw a leeds highlight reel , and some of the goals , and
footwork in the "area" by that guy alan smith looked very
classy ...on par with some of the famous names .. however ,
they were highlights , lucky shots ? how does alan smith
rate ? im just wondering because the highlights of the goals
and passes he made looked wicked.
getting back to the tournament , did anyone actually predict
that outcome before the start of the tourney ? And the
england game must have been brutal for you guys , however ,
if i understand the rules correctly , even incidental
contact with the keeper , with the ball in the area is not
allowed ?

forgive my ignorant post , however watching conversations on
here , combined with a beer and watching games on world
sports channel has converted me to a fan of the game , and
im looking forward to "supporting" the corinthians and
perhaps cracking a few fucking skulls on the "terraces" lol
while wearing some casual wear.

why is that? Greece played their game, and they played it
well... it's not the most exciting style of play, but they
won the tournament fair and square... and they beat some of
the best teams to do it...

teams like that are so shit that they spoil the game and
bring good teams down to their level.

dont mind me im still bitter about englands exit. had
england beaten portugal, greece would have gotten fucked up.

maphive: If incidental fault with the goal keeper is made of
course it matters if the keeper is obstructed from his
action is considered a fault just because its a incident
doesn´t mean it doesn´t count.

I agree man.
They won cause they played their own game all the way thru ,
and they looked confident doing so.
Should be interesting seeing how well they do next time.

I'm glad someone *new* won for a fucking change. It also
makes me laugh since none of the big stars in the advert for
the competition (usual suspects like Beckham, Raul, Totti I
think, who were typically made out to be superior human
beings) weren't even in the semi finals.
