Reaktor and Sytrus (got it with the FL XXL bundle).

Reaktor pisses all over everything else I've tried. I've
heard that the Virsyn instruments are very versatile and
interesting, but I just don't have the time to learn yet
another big complex interface. And pretty much everything
else I can build in Reaktor, or come very close to it.

I'm using Reaktor lately. I like it alot, but I've only
really been using it for making weird synths. Pretty fun
stuff.

Yeah you can do crazy circuit bendy and retro spacey things
real easy.

It took me a while to figure out how to do simple usable
analog lead tones - all the synths and presets in the user
library are complex and showy.

About the only thing it doesn't do well is additive - sucks
too much cpu. Maybe they'll add an additive module in R5.

I tried absynth. Good sounds but terrible interface for
tweaking. Its a chore if you want to use anything other than
the presets.

I think the interface looks like HR Giger's alien mothership
as redecorated by homosexuals.

The multi-breakpoint bezier curve envelopes seem like a
great idea until you realize the work you have to go through
to do something original and useful with them.
