Those march, 2003 ae breezeblock mixes were quite pleasent. Listening again to them now.
Wish they would do some more work like this.

It was wicked, I don't think any of that set was their own stuff though. They had to pull it off air early because they started playing fake police broadcasts or something.

There should be plenty of them on slsk, yes.
I recall hearing that most of this / all was indeed, not their own creations....but I would like to hear more works like this :)

I think that end track is Captain Beefheart - Safe as Milk, I can't remember the other stuff but I'm pretty sure it had something from the clockwork orange soundtrack in there.

***Headline DJ Set - Autechre*** Tod Dockstader - 'Water Music / Two Moons Of Quatermass pt 3' (Starkland Records)
Wendy Carlos - 'Timesteps' (Warner Bros) Captain Beefheart and His Magic Band - 'Safe As Milk (Take 12)' (BMG)
The Hafler Trio - 'Controller Of The Instrument 1' (Touch) Curtis Roads - 'Sonal Atoms' (White Label)
however, as horsefactory says, the last two tracks were not broadcast. they played some cut up news dialogue which had something to do with terrorism. i think the bbc had been in posession of the set for a couple of weeks though(?) they must've deemed it "sensitive" or something on the night.....
nice set though. the radio 3 mix is very nice as well: well worth tracking down.

The Hafler Trio track was broadcast. It's the one with the guy reading the news, chopped up by The Hafler Trio. That track was the why Mary-Anne Hobbes cut the mix short.

..and elusive, why do you say mixes, plural? It's just one mix, isn't it?

ohh right. i thought it was some cut up dialogue that autechre had slipped in there. is the whole hafler trio track just that newsreader cut up?
p.s. hear the radio 3 mix!

that hafler trio track is from the very early times of hafler -- - 'bang' an open letter - specifically. a lot of that stuff is about all the gysin tape manipulation stuff et cet cetc.
also --i remember downloading an autechre atp set thing a while ago, and in that they played another hafler trio track, from the same album next to things like yellow calx and public enemy ... was good., eh
