well, i can only say that i wish i never had to leave. On
the 2nd day in Toronto i was convinced i was at the right
place. What an amazing 2 weeks they have been!

Highlights and downsides:

+ it's called canada (what a fucking cool name, ca na da,
SWEET)
+ toronto (what a fucking cool name, to ron to, WICKED)
+ montreal (mont royal park!!!)
+ algonquin park
+ la mauricie park
+ amazingly friendly and interesting people
+ moose
+ maple syrup (just kidding)
+ american fastfood
+ lakes
+ cheap clothing, wicked t-shirt shops
+ no cops harrassing but kindly asking people to leave the
park when it's 'closing'

+- varied weather conditions (esp. up north)

- ontario doesn't know how and where to properly sell
alcohol
- insane, reckless speeding truckdrivers everywhere
- american fastfood
- mosquitoes and BLACKFLIES (ain't no stoppin 'em)
- niagara falls (although pretty) a.k.a. niagara theme
park/
canada's casino corner
- kids apparently don't know how to party without XTC
- horrifying images on cigarette boxes, expensive too

i'm still a bit jetlagged, but i'll update the list as i
recover, with pics if i'm not too lazy to resize em.

please add your experiences, thoughts and ideas!

(see my old thread for more info, HERE

toronto clubs:

+ system (where i met an incredibly hot girl which i had
been talking to on msn prior to my flight there. She put me
and my friends on the guestlist :))

+ velvet underground. i was the only one there not dressed
in black so i didnt stick around long, but the goth chicks
in there were HOT. (lonely planet describes: outside looks
like it's made from scrap metal, crowd looks like prototype
bladerunner parts)

+ funhaus. nice room, nice visuals, crazy music.

+ nasa bar. wicked interior design, jungle breaks, and i had
my first gin7 there.

Montreal:

+ Saphir. went to a jungle and hiphop party. Nice.

damn i miss it all so much already. but ah well, summer
street parties comin' up soon here.

it was absolutely beautiful. i'm hoping scotland will be
similar in a way. that country is in my top 3 of next
countries to visit.

tolstoyed: australia is far away. canada is next door. you
could get there in roughly 9 hours or so.

now this here i came across in the woods, and i dont even
care that much for flowers, but damn, i iwish we had some of
these here

i'm guessing that was sarcasm but you never know. canada is
a very european-like and highly civilised country. i was in
toronto, and 2 hours later i was in a beautiful place out in
the country.

*sigh*

Bits of scotland and ireland have a similar kind of very
rugged beauty (especially the shetland isles and western
ireland). Lovely places.

i know what you mean...any yes, it was sarcasm, i have no
doubt canada is a wonderful place, but still i like to live
in the core of the world :) can't help it haha

Holy crap, man. That's the kind of shampoo I use, I posted
mine here literally years ago.

And you're right, Canada is the best country on earth. We'll
prove it when we crush the competition at the World Cup of
Hockey and silence the critics.

thats cool :)

it was the only brand they had, too.

it's really too bad we didnt have time for a hockey game. i
would have loved to see one in the skydome.

but i never said canada is the best country in the world ;)

i still have so many more to visit!

Damn, those pics are gorgeous. I should really take another
scottish holiday.

Also, alberto balsam shampoo is common here in the uk too
(hence the aphex title i guess).
