I've been using Opera for a couple of years, and I love it. (despite some mutated/disfigured webpages). Is Firefox better/how is Firefox better?

Avant Browser looks very much like a mere IE extension to me. That means: don't use it.

Right. Plus it's called "Avant Browser".

its not an extension...it is a replacement. It is actually much faster and you can navigate without that syrupy mozilla interface

I like Avant Browser too. It is updated so much. I'm not sure if it's faster at loading webpages than IE, which I have never found to be severely slow.
I don't have many big gripes with IE -- it's integrated so much into the system in the first place for obvious reasons. But the tabbed browsing and ad blocking and other "Avant Additions" are really nice, as well as "macros" to open all links in a folder. That comes in handy when checking forums and news pages and whatnot :)

From the FAQ:
How does Avant Browser work?
Based on services provided by Microsoft Internet Explorer, Avant Browser renders and navigates HTML.
Extension may not be exactly the right word, but it does depend on IE, which is a Bad Thing.
