beautiful album...if you like melodies, you need to check this...it's very minimalistic, kind of mixture of kim hiorthoy, vincent gallo and susumu yokota. so many awesome samples/sounds...quite amazing! |

they always have cool artwork on smalltown supersound releases...in most (all) cases thanks to kim hiorthoy...he arranged it for this album as well. im making some scans, coz it's really cool! |

yep, and I still find it similar... but I've been told by people that I often relate things "incorrect." However.. that is not the point. The point is that I like the music.. it's nice! |

excellent :) i just thought i'd warn you before you get the album...it's way more minimalistic and ambiental to hiorthoy, though they use kind of same sounds...and the feeling is similar...and if you check my initial post you can see that i compared him to hiorthoy as well :) |

I know he does all the artwork there. Or did he start doing the same thing for Smalltown supersound as well? I like the artwork as well, and the music too... actually I think this sounds better than Kim's music. I don't really hear the similarity with Yokota, but then I only have one of his albums so I can't really compare I suppose ;) |

I've already decided after hearing those samples that it's just something I want to have in my collection. I need to find an online-store that accepts paypal. Or find it in a store ofcourse, but that seems unlikely :-p "surrounded...apperantly hiorthoy is doing design for both labels" What a busy guy he is! Well good for us :-p The more he does in his lifetime, the better! But still... a musical career, and a career as a graphical artist all at the same time. It's very impressive. A while back I bought two more children's books that he's done the drawings for. Only they were actually translated into dutch :-) First time I could actually read a book that Kim worked on. They were very funny too. |

Atleast I found it in one online shop, and it says: Komorebi 3-4 weken Yuichiro Fujimoto CD | Smalltown Supersound | 1999 Well I might have a look in some nice recordstores first. Because this online-shop is the only one I could find that doesn't require a creditcard. And it says it will take 3 to 4 weeks :( That's a really long time to wait. A new Kim Hiorthoy ep? Nice :D I had not heard anything about it yet. Let me know what it's like when you get it :) |

hmm, it says 2004 on the cover, and fujimoto wrote he recorded this at home in 2001 and 2002, so my guess is 1999 is incorrect :) i'll definitely post about that new hiorthoy!! btw, can't you ask someone with credit card to get it for you? :) |
