These days when people I know complain about symptoms of spyware I usually play dumb because I'm not interested in spending an hour or two cleaning up their systems while they stubbornly complain about how desperately they need that weather or time tray application. And one day later they're all infected again.
Even if you tell them about Firefox and install it for them, they're not happy because then they're not using "Internet", which is what they call IE. Microsoft was brilliant to use the word Internet as the first word in the name of their browser, because now people don't know the difference. I swear, Firefox is not gonna make a dent unless they rename it Internet Firefox.
So the most I'll do is send people a link to Spybot, Adaware, Firefox et cetera. People who are told "Please do not eat glass; eat food instead" and can't take the hint deserve to shit their guts out in a heap.

well.. i think mozilla could possibly top the popularity of microsoft explorer if they simply renamed their firefox browser "internet"..
i mean,, who really owns the rights to that name? mr. gore?

There's an IE theme for Mozilla bashing around somewhere - I'm sure someone will port it to Firefox. Then you use the big blue E icon instead of the firefox icon, and they'll never know the difference.
BTW, you can install Firefox and try it out without making it the default browser...

That's what I have. I find it's pretty reliable, and the audio ins are dead silent - no hum or hiss or anything. If you set it up properly you can get 5ms or less latency. You getting the PCI card or the outboard one?
