Between the end of the Spanish-American War and the dawn of
the Great Depression, the United States sent troops to Latin
American countries thirty-two times. It used the Roosevelt
Corollary, or addition, to the Monroe Doctrine to justify
intervention. In the corollary, Teddy Roosevelt proclaimed
that the United States, because it was a "civilized nation,"
had the right to stop "chronic wrongdoing" throughout the
Western Hemisphere.

"Any country whose people conduct themselves well can count
upon our hearty friendship," he said. "Chronic wrongdoing,
however, . . . may force the United States to exercise an
international police power."

i think you're lost dog_belch. this topic is about Arovane.

Not

about your silly quote.

so if you'd like you can comment on the song if you'd like.

i don't think it's that great. tides was better. he should
lose the harpsichord already.

i've read about seventeen threads about lilies that winded
precisely the same way this one is. tradition dictates that
the 16th post points to the inanity of the thread.

the idiosyncrasy of your post happy is that it bumps my
topic back up, therefore making your opinion contradict its
action making you look redundant. if its inane then leave it
be and let it go all the way down where it belongs and for
those who dont know about the song d/l it is lovely, and for
those who disagree your opinion is always appreciated in my
threads as redundant as it my seem to some :)

hey, were it up to me i wouldn't post on this thread at all,
but tradition is tradition. i like the title track, by the
way.

it's better than Tides, and Tides was an excellent album.
This one seems a bit more stronger

It's a damn nice album for warm summer nights on my balkony.

like a cat when "Pink Lillies" comes on =)

at the risk of repeating myself... i am pretty disappointed
with this album... it's not that it's bad... it's just that
productionwise... he's really jumped the shark and floated
off into ulrich schnauss territory...

i bought this today on impulse since i've been craving a
straight up electronic cd. i haven't bought one since the
incredibly disappointing campfire headphase and never heard
any arovane before, though i remembered the name from a
woofer poll. anyway, it's a very, very pleasant cd and
unlike everyone else i'm not disappointed by this (but then
again i was never hyped up for it in the least and i've
never heard his other albums). he sounds a lot, a lot, a lot
like plaid, but i like this album a lot more than any of
plaid's albums, since unlike those this doesn't seem to have
any filler. yeah, it's not the type of electronic music you
feel like you should be paying attention to, but i got bored
with that type of music a while ago. this is a great album
for me to read to, and i look forward to reading my two
volume edition of tale of genji with this playing in the
background.

after being so very disappointed with so much electronic
music in the past two years, it's really nice to hear
something that i can honestly enjoy.
