Everybody with an Xbox must own this game, now. It's the best looking console game to date, and almost as good looking as Doom 3 and Half Life 2. In fact, when you're running down some of the more detailed corridors, the graphic quality is nigh indistinguishable. Great work by Starbreeze. Wicked lighting effects, ragdoll physics, 60 frames per second (usually)... good stuff. That fucking sweet normal mapping, it's all the rage.
So far, there's been plenty of stealth, some insane hand to hand combat (better than Breakdown's), multiple broken necks, some Deus Ex style wheeling and dealing, and of course, some violent gunplay. And lots of eye candy, some of which I didn't think the Xbox was capable of.
If Doom 3 for Xbox looks half as good as Riddick, it'll be just fine.
It's been out for a few days now, but I only just got it... we never get the latest games on time here. Anyone play it yet? I hear it's about a 10 hour game, which is a modest length... but I'd prefer 10 intense hours to a drawn out 20 hour game. I rarely play a game that keeps on chugging the whole way through, and I expect this game to deliver. I guess I'll be glued the gaming throne for the next 12 or so hours. I plan on beating it in one sitting. Grabbing the muzzle of an attacking guards gun and shoving it into his face to blow his brains out is sublime. It's like a dream come true, bruddah.

Xbox is a computer like I'm a curvacious blonde. It's 733mhz with 64 MB of RAM and has been since day 1, and will be 'till the dawn of the Xenon.

Fuck symantics, that word reminds me of Norton Antivirus.
Catalyst- yeah, the game is gorgeous. I can't believe the detail in some of the environments, and the engine never misses a beat. Hardcore. The bar has been raised for consoles.

Actually, maybe gorgeous isn't the proper word... hideously, realistically disgusting and grimy, that's more like it. You can smell these polygons.

as far as D3 and HL2 I believe this game is just an appetizer of what were about to see on those two games.. just my opinion, may be wrong.

I didn't realise there was a sequel (coming?) out to Pitch Black. Looks a decent game though.

if you at all consider yourself a zelda fan, you need it; it includes just about everything introduced in the zelda series since the original. even lunge attacks.

I'll definitely have to get it if I can scrounge up the money. One thing I hate is ''GBA connectivity'', fucking pointless, a really poor substitute for online play. But I assume it has a pretty sweet single player, right? How does the ''four Link'' thing work?
I can't believe how little hype this game is getting, but I guess that's because it's lacking that extra D.
Riddick- 9.5/10, didn't beat it yet, will this afternoon.
