i have a converter with 2 flat connector pins, but it says
'america' and i know canada is technically north america but
i just wanted to make sure.

also it says 10/16A 250v~ . dunno what that is. canada uses
110v 50hz, right?

i'm stupid when it comes to shit like this..

I hope this thread makes it to a 1000 posts. 1000 glorious
pictures of power outlets.

well, 998, if you subtract your original post and this
entirely unnecessary one.

good luck!

is that a space for a 3rd connector? and if so, is it
essential that it is used? cause i have one of these
converters for the UK here which has a 3rd connector but its
plastic so i figured it's just there to look extra cool.

No, it's like a ground or something. Some really old
outlets/plugs don't have it.
