Life Is Good is LFO's 2nd album and as with the first album
it's very catchy from start to finish. LFO incoporate their
boy band appearance with funky hip-hop and even at time Rock
like beats to come out with an innovative style. Their
second album is like a breath of fresh air when we're at an
age where boy bands are thrown off the conveyor-belt before
you can digest the last product. LFO are different to the
conveyor-belt trash yet their style would appeal to the
masses, with songs such as: 'Every other time' (released in
the U.S), '6 minutes' and the album entitled track of 'Life
is Good.' The band surely have something going on and it's
not just me who recognises it as artists such as De La Soul,
Kelis & M.O.P make it onto the album. So if you are looking
for a refreshing sound then this is the album for you!

LFO are back with Life Is Good, and so it should be - this
album is their best to date. From start to finish, every
track is catchy and fresh, with a wider range of music than
their Backstreet Boys-esque debut. The guest vocals (MOB,
DeLa Soul, Kelis) fit in perfectly. Well worth your money
(I'd pay any amount for the track Dandelion), this CD has
solely restored my faith in the music industry.

It's been a slow, almost imperceptible evolution, but on
Ultravisitor, the seventh album from Tom Jenkinson's
Squarepusher project, we finally see this Chelmsford-based
electronica guru shrugging off the rather primitive drill
'n' bass tag, and maturing into a fully-fledged musical
auteur. Look at him on that sleeve, all serious stare and
mutton-chop sideburns: this record feels like a conscious
attempt to install Jenkinson into a serious musical canon
alongside his obvious heroes John Cage, Miles Davies and Sun
Ra.
It's a good try, as over these 70-odd minutes of
electro-rave mayhem and frighteningly complex jazz-fusion
improv, Jenkinson shows absolutely no sign of slowing his
dizzying inventive velocity. The flirtation with UK garage
that formed the synthetic exoskeleton of 2001's My Red Hot
Car is sadly absent, but pieces such as "Menelee" and
"Steinbolt" demonstrate fresh fascination for all manner of
mutant strains of electronic hardcore and urban junglism,
and fill the gap admirably.

Elsewhere, we find Jenkinson's passion for live
instrumentation more pronounced than at any time since
1998's "Music Is Rotted One Note". This isn't always a good
thing. The thrumming, masturbatory bass-soloing of "C-Town
Smash" takes jazz proficiency into new realms of
ridiculousness. But "I Fulcrum" carries the interstellar
legacy of Sun Ra into as-yet undiscovered galaxies, and
"Iambic 9 Poetry" proves Jenkinson's gift for melody remains
gloriously intact, a perfect example of chiming instrumental
clarity amid the deranged chatter of machine-code chaos.

Putting aside the Girl Power phenomenon--really, what were
the chances five scantily-clad birds flashing their knickers
with kung-fu kicks wouldn't make it in the music
industry?--the Spice Girls really do mean something: great
singles. There's not a dog in their whole back-catalogue.
They kicked off their career with "Wannabe", "Say You'll Be
There" and "2 Become 1"--that's the pop equivalent of an
Olympic gold in the triathlon. They're all here on Spice,
along with the live favourite "If You Can't Dance"--one that
Geri always looked particularly picked-upon whilst
singing--and that irresistible champagne effervescence of
pop history in the making. The only mistake they made at
this point in their career was not releasing the slinky R&B
track "Naked" as a single; and if that's because the video
plot automatically suggests itself as too obvious, it's not
as if that curtailed any other facet of their career.

What is it about tricycles that make all children love them?
Is it the feeling of independence? The Baby Too Trike from
Groupe Berchet is the perfect size for toddlers starting out
on a tricycle for the first time and comes with lots of
extras you just don't find on many tricycles around now. It
has a high-quality frame, rubber wheels for a quieter ride,
a brake for the two rear wheels and a special seat with
carry handle and safety harness. The frame adjusts to four
positions, allowing your child to use this tricycle as they
grow, and also has adjustable handlebars to make it more
comfortable.

On this version there is also a collapsible and retractable
parent handle, which is height adjustable to any position.
The handle is much more comfortable and easier to use than
the traditional pole attachments on other tricycles. If your
child is too small to reach the pedals, just pull out the
red circle on the front wheel. This allows the child to be
pushed by an adult or if you want total parental control,
tighten the red button on the steering column to fix the
direction of the steering. Another added extra is the
detachable bag for carrying a picnic or toddler essentials.
The bag can be clipped onto the parent handle or detached to
be used as a rucksack.

Having the ability to control the direction of the steering
(especially when walking down the street) is bonus. The
silver basket on the back is the perfect place to put dolls,
or other toys, in when giving them a ride around the garden.
The safety harness could be used to strap little ones onto
the trike, but some may prefer not to use this in case they
manage to topple it over and need a quick exit, but it comes
in useful for trips down the street.
