question to game-console users...

tell me, is it difficult to play fighting-games using
analog pads? i'll explain what i'm asking about.

so, i love to play games like tekken and so on, as long they
are emulated or available on the pc.

now - i have a small "club" with my friends. we meet up like
every saturday and play games like this on my pc.

the problem is, that we always have to play on the keyboard
two players at once... that's not very comfortable.

now i had the idea, that i buy 2 identic game pads so we
could make fair play... the problem is i can't decide which
to choose.

the problem is - that on a keyboard it's kinda easy to hit
the arrow keys when you have to make a difficult combo.

on a pad - when you have a round cross - it seems impossible
for me.

but then - all console users have to play these games with
their analogs...

and here's my question - is it accurate to play with a
pad.... difficult to learn ?

thanks for the help...

I think it's pretty easy. The only way I can play fighting
games is with control pads. I've never been able to properly
master the Street Fighter stick movements on an arcade
machine joystick, and I'd rather saw my gums to bits with a
razor than play a game like that on a keyboard.

hm.... let's say you have to make a combo - moving the cross
left, donw, right (in one move) then left and hit a key....
now that's tricky...

it all depends on what kind of gamepad you get. stay away
from the microsoft gamepads, they suck for fighting games..
very difficult to do moves on.

get yourself a pair of thrustmaster firestorm dual analog
2's. it has ten well-placed buttons and a great d-pad that
you can actually do moves with. it's excellent for fighting
games, and just about everything else..

back in college, i had my laptop hooked up with 2 of these,
and we would play marvel vs streetfigter all lunch hour..

you can get them from amazon, or your local pc gaming
store.. here's a link.
