Isn't the world just a bit bad just now? Lots of nasty
things are happening. I wish it was a bit better but it
isn't. There is some awful people about doing some rather
upsetting things. Sign up here to buy a ribbon
that supports the "World's just a bit Wrong" fund. Our
voices should be heard.

how about "Can't Everyone Just Be A Teensy Bit Nicer?" pins?
for students and hippies to adorn their rags with.

Seeing as how news reporting and general media coverage of
every little negative thing is a massive part of western
culture these days, i think it'd be interesting to apply the
same sort of reporting to random moments in history with the
same Sky News type hype and that'd be a fun way to compare
progress in the world with respect to wars, hunger, disease
etc.

- so we have imbedded reporters at the battle of waterloo
- frontline correspondants as Ghengis Khan rampaged through
the continent
- specials on the Plague

i hate this enviro-feminist anthropomorphist crap, the earth
as a pregnant woman, etc. it's such crude mythology. i
thought we've gone further than branding our sex into our
cosmology. but somehow the collapse of aesthetic standards
legitimizes it under the guise of reactionary. can you
imagine how ridiculous a statue of earth as a gigantic,
erect penis would look?
