Ok I have wanted to find a really good and EASY TO USE emulator for old commodore 64 games. Now I had tried this a couple of years ago and just could not figure out how to install successfully and/or use once it was installed.
I guess I am asking for anyones advice on a good emulator for a beginner in using them? ANY help would be appreciated...
In the end I want to be able to play the games HERE
thanks everyone.

I never even heard of commodore 64's until I read about them on the internet. Many people seem quite fondly nostalgic of them. I've still never used one but plan to buy one someday and maybe program games on it. My suggestion is just to buy a genuine commodore 64 on ebay. That's what I'll do eventually. Did this come out before NES or something? Could these things even handle a simple nes game like... double dragon or something?

They were the equivalent of Spectrums in their day. Technically superior (especially their sound- you can still buy brand new hardware with SID chips in...), but the games were far inferior and generally speaking, C64 owners were not as cool as ZX Spectrum owners.

Hmm.Try this page.c64emu
It's a tiny download for the emulator and it's piss easy to use. When the emu loads you might be wondering where all the options are but hit f9 and there you go.Just browse to where you saved your roms and select from there.k.If you do get stuck there's a good faq.

ccs64 .. thats the one you want
heres the games archive ive been using .. seems to have just about all of them!
c64unlimited.com
i do have a question tho .. most emulators ive come across (including ccs64) do not allow you to play games that require a flip or change of the disk. any clues? i notice ccs64 has the option for drives 8 + 9 so i wonder if thats part of a solution ..
