New glitchy track: Shiverbox

Shiverbox

Rather different to my usual output, being rather glitchier
and dirtier. Hope someone likes it anyway, cheers.

Nice track. Sounds a bit AE, but AE sounds a bit music ;)

Cool, cheers guys. It should be quite nice headphone
listening.

JivverDicker - I just use Cubase, piling on the effects
until my computer starts smoking, which doesn't take much
unfortunately.

List synths/samplers, I wonder what makes such a glitchy
sounds.

This is fucking excellent
Very good glitchyness, works very well at a professional
sounding standard. I enjoyed it immensley. I will be happy
to hear your music in the future. Another addition to the
collection.

******** (8/10)

Fucking great bass! Very well mastered track and nice
melodic line. Yeah - on the headphones it sounds good, my
earlier posts I wrote after listening to it on shitty comp
speakers.

Oksa - 5/6 and must appear on the xltronic vibes!

As always you have produced a first class track. You
deserve a lot more recognition than you have got so
far...all I can see for you is onwards and upwards. Do you
have any more label releases lined up?, if not it's a crime.

Cheers guys! Much appreciated. :)

ecnadniarb - just an album for Toytronic at the moment, then
I'll have to get some more tracks together and see what
happens.

I have to say that this track didn't really grab me like
your other tracks.

offline Chris Ochre on 2004-05-23 05:09 [#01202442]
Points: 570 Status: Lurker

Yeah, I didn't think I'd please everyone. It's not going to
appeal to folks who might prefer tracks like REM Sleep/Low
Grav etc. Inevitable.

It's not really the style that bothers me, it just didn't
grab me at, it is nice that you remembered my favorite track
of yours though.

I also downloaded that album preview and i will get a copy
of your album when it comes out.

Wow, I love it. The bass, the wheezing ''melody'', the
wiggly percussion... awesome.

1:18 is my favorite second. Captivating 4 note hook there.

Fantastic as Ever... Do you have any connection to the
Boltfish label?

offline Chris Ochre on 2004-05-23 13:31 [#01203040]

Cheers Ophecks, Kado. I don't have any connection with
Boltfish at the moment, but I might try and put something
out through them in the future, once I actually have some
material.

Cheers again.

EQ/compression/limiting, before encoding.

That is aweeesome! Can't even begin to work out how you did
all the drums. Out of interest how long did it take you?

offline Chris Ochre on 2004-05-23 15:03 [#01203159]
Points: 570 Status: Lurker | Followup to clint: #01203139

Thanks clint! It took about three days to complete, working
each evening, I suppose.

plaster - I use a pair of Tannoy loudspeakers, with some
Beyer DT770 Pro headphones for fine detail checking. If I
were to buy another set of phones I'd go for some
Sennheisers, HD590 and above I think. The bass on the
DT770s is rather overbearing, but it does go down low so I
can hear the extra octave below my loudspeakers.

Superb. I love the sly enigmatic melody - like the song is
winking knowingly at me about something and I'm not sure
what.

Despite the effort put into it, it's a rather forgettable
track. Almost all music is nowadays. It's getting quite hard
to shout above the background din.

Shit this sounds good and i'm only 30secs into it.

The background melodies are superb. Sounds great when the
primary beat comes in at about 1:38.

The bass line is so chilled and strikes at great times.

Man the melodies are great, arangement is spot on.

What gear do u use ochre?
