Tomorrow I go pick up my Hasselblad 500C/M with a Carl Zeiss Planar 2.8/80 T* lens. The housing is from 71 and the mag from 89.
There seems to be tons of the old Hblads for sale, atleast here in Sweden as people want the almighty D1gi7A|_. I was bidding for a couple of 500C kits, but the prices went up beyond the current "good deal" value, you can get those at around 5000SEK. This one is 8000 Swedish crowns (about $1000). The C/M is the successor to the C and goes for a little more. Used C/M kits are sold at around 12000SEK in shops here.
Saturday I'm going to a kids party, so I'll have a chance to test it :)

Why Mamiya? I'm just curious as I was looking at RZ67's too (there's a 6x6 mag made for them). They're very heavy and bulky though, even compared to a hasselblad. I'm mainly after 6x6, so hasselblad is an obvious choice. The others seem to be focusing on 645 or 67 formats.

if you really like the square format for pics then its cool. i admit that the grain and stuff is quite superb with hasselblad. but yeah i like 67 for example like you say.true it is bulky etc but in the end its a matter of taste. the lens' and other stuff for hasselblad are molto bucks also....
i would love to have the digital back for the rz, mmmmh.... but then i might as well start playing the lotery!

nice one, I've never owned a medium format camera but I was lucky enough to use one during my fine arts diploma a few years back. Was great fun and a nice change from 35mm. If I only cash wasn't an issue then I would definitley get my hands on one.
Be sure to post some pics Paco

I got it yesterday. Really sweet! My only problem is that I'll have to use use my 300D for metering as there is none built in, in the hasselblad. The focusing screen is kinda dark, so getting one of those acute-matte screens is a planned project. It works fine outside, but focusing indoors is worse.
Don't expect any pics real soon, like tomorrow or anything. I have to wait like 1-2 weeks for one roll to come back. Also, I have no scanner, but maybe I can get them on CD as well.
I'll get a chance to test it in a couple of hours at a birthday party.

Also, my cam is the one in the pic. The guy I bought it from is a product photographer and had this nice 11 Mpix Canon EOS 1Ds.

Anyway, there are some photos from the Hasselblad at my photoblog. There's a camera archive, if you're interested in the others as well.

yet it was taken in 1999...
it uses old formats of 120/220 films. the holes for the thing aren't the same than today's mid format films... i can only process films while i work in a photographic lab so i don't throw my roll in the thrash... might get myself a holga anyway... cause u don't care if you break a holga.

That's awesome. Do you know what model or make it is?
A twin lens medium format would be nice. An old Rolleiflex or something.
