anyone know any programs that can play ogg files or convert
them into mp3s/aiff/wav files for mac?

so far i downloaded YAAC and it quits before it even loads,
i'm downloading VLC media player now

Winamp can play ogg vorbis files.

Nigel, there are players for OSX and also MacOS

Oggs sound much better than MP3 for the same filesize. I'd
use them exclusively except I stupidly went out and bought a
portable that doesn't handle them.

and my comment was mostly reguarding how its a better thing
to use but it's way obscure (like linux compared to windows

db poweramp+an ogg plugin will convert mp3s/wavs to ogg
and vice versa. probly pc only tho -_-

That's an open source app. It also compiles and runs on
Windows and Linux. In fact the only reason it's on Mac is
that OS X is sufficiently *nix-y. So don't turn up your
nose at Zelda for Linux - that would mean an OSX port is
around the corner.

i used to use audion WAY back in the day

after using it for 15 days it would quit after 30 minutes

i had a skin that made the controls an old nintendo control

yeah, Audion is good... too bad it's shareware

i had made a skin for it too when i was using it, it
looked like this... and there was lots of great skins with
transparency levels and all =)

You bonehead, Ogg is a lossy codec. All you've done is make
the tracks take up more space.
