you'll find he is more into meditation....there's alway been
this myth about him being on allsorts of weird drugs coz of
how his films are, but that is not necessarily true and i
dont see why this should be obvious.

I think he said he doesn't in the Blue Velvet commentary.

originaly in blue velvet hopper was meant to take helium and
not oxygen, imagine how funny and fckd that would have been!
apparently it was dennis hopper himself who suggested the
oxygen instead. i think he regrets it now.

It's actually nitrous (oxide), but yeah.

well not according to dennis hopper who i kinda quoted. i
really dont know so it doesnt matter for me . i just
thought hopper in a high pitched voice would have been
great!

I know, I saw the commentary by him on the DVD. Oxygen
isn't really a drug.

"The common factor in most nitrous horror stories is the
presence of a 60-pound tank, enough to fill thousands of
balloons. The inherent danger of a tank is that it tempts
users to dispense with the one-balloon-at-a-time method and
inhale a continuous flow of nitrous through a mask, à la
Dennis Hopper's character in Blue Velvet.

Unless they alternate whiffs from the mask with gulps of air
(also like Hopper's character), or supplement the flow with
at least 20 percent oxygen, such users die. "

i sincerely doubt that lynch is the drug-taking type... he's
just very intouch with his subconscious...

ok mappatazee.... the point i am making is that lynch had no
idea what "DRUG" to use, and his prime idea was helium but
dennis hopper talked about "oxygen"....it probably ended up
being regarded as nitrous coz as you said he doesnt seem to
be on oxygen. mind you, you can get high on oxygen . what
are the prime effects of nitrous ?

yes but back here they dont use that much, never had it...
they prefer big fat needles here, and old massive metal
tools. i'm told dentists in the u.s are a dream compared to
those in europe.
