manitoba gig...some boring pictures...

just got back...it was ok, but quite boring at times. it
went something like lalala...lilili...tup tup...
i would perhaps be more impressed, i wouldn't see fantomas
last night :)

they had two identical sets of drums, so when the two of
them started playing those drums simultaneously it became a
little more interesting (sounded much like that chemichal
brothers song with lots of real drum playing...)

the whole thing sounded kind of cheap tho...nothing to start
up the old brain :)

I don't get what's the big deal about Manitoba. I downloaded
some mp3s and couldn't even listen to them all the way
through. They're like every other band that they're like.

the first album was quite good actually...but the second one
is pretty much crap :)

and NME picked them into top 10 live acts???? i beg your
pardon.

>:(
The second album is the good one. The first one sounds like
a boctechre cover band. Up In Flames has inspiration.

I'm afraid I have to take this personally since I enjoy up
in flames so much ;)

i liked manitoba better when he was electronic.. start
breaking my heart is a brilliant album, no matter how much
like boc it sounds. up in flames is just stupid imo.

It's hardly a stupid album, but if you're looking for boc2
it's not going to do much for you :/

it's ok to have a smoke and listen to it...ofcourse there
are many better albums for that...but i really can't see why
NME named them as 10 best live acts!!!!!?????? they're not
terrible, but there are tons of better bands/artist...and
it's not like they're doing something groundbreaking...ah
well, some people had fun...

yeah, I wouldn't say he's an amazing live act, though I had
a really good time at the show.

venetian snares is ok live...at least it's intense and great

some nice canadian artists :)

I wish Snares would tour his own country a little. I haven't
had a chance to see him yet.

if you have two cd players you can play two of his cd's at
the same time and very loud...it will feel like his
gig...literally.

NME = embracing any "experimental" group to shake their
current image as purely an EMO/Indie mag.

well, if that's the case, praising manitoba sure won't help
them shake anything :)

seen him live though...
