I *heart* setting up audio gear

I absolutely love it, I spend hours a day modifying,
changing, experiementing with old equipment, trying to get
really old defunct gear to work, running it all through my
$33 mixer, extending cables form my ripped apart stereo so I
can place the record player wherever I want, replacing
record player belts with rubber bands (more difficult than
you think) trying to get all the levels right, fixing
impedance problems, running preamp after preamp to get the
max overdrive effect, tearing the bodywork of stuff apart so
I can use it more easily, fighting the truckloads of cables
tearing through the belly of my room,

anyone else have a love for setting up equipment?

matt.
refund.

When I "need" to, Ie setting up for a gig/taking gear over
mates houses etc. it annoys me. Just tinkering, I love it.I
changed the way my mixer out goes to my mono amp the other
day and it's much better.

try to get a job at a studio. youll do that like mad, and
also get a foot in, and learn about production and stuff.
nothing like hands on experiance.

course in music production or something.

sydney.

just go there, and be like, hey, I want to learn, and Ill do
whatever it takes. didcation > skill.
