when you start a thread...

offline nacmat on 2004-05-04 10:19 [#01172692]
Points: 31271 Status: Lurker

is your wish that it gets lots of answers?

or you just want your question or comment to be answered no
matter in how many posts?

do you feel frustrated if one of your threads gets very few
or no answeres?

when you start a thread, do you ask yourself if its good
enough to be created?

do you ever have thoughts like this?: "I want to start this
thread but I cant cos I know this person or this other
person will "attack" me for it"

I wonder: what were you thinking starting this threat?

is your wish that it gets lots of answers?
NO I JUST WANT ONE GOOD ANSWER

or you just want your question or comment to be answered no

matter in how many posts?
DEPENDS ON THE QUESTION

do you feel frustrated if one of your threads gets very few

or no answeres?
NO

when you start a thread, do you ask yourself if its good
enough to be created?
YES, AND YOU?

do you ever have thoughts like this?: "I want to start this

thread but I cant cos I know this person or this other
person will "attack" me for it"
I"M STILL NOT AFRAID OF THE MODS. BUT I ANSWERED WITH "YES"
IN THE QUESTION ABOVE

It will be ironic if this thread only gets a couple of
posts. But yes, I feel like that every time I open a new
thread. Please go to the one I just created PLEASE!!!!!!!!!

I don't start many threads, and when I do, it's usually
video game related, heh. I DO like to get a lot of replies,
because discussion is exactly what I'm looking for.

Which is why only getting 4 replies for my Shining Force PS2
topic pissed me off and made me pee in the Xltronic water
supply.

Sometimes I just want to state something- either "modding
duties" like, "any more links to goatse = b7" or just some
piece of news I think will interest people.

Sometimes I want answers to a question that I know some
people here will be able to answer (or even for a specific
person whose email addy is not available).

With regard to not starting a thread because of what people
will think, no, I don't censor my threads in that way. I try
not to actively piss people off here, but at the same time,
I accept it's not a popularity contest and that not everyone
will like everything I say. Sure, if I was going to make a
thread with porn/highly unworksafe content (I wouldn't) then
I shouldn't do that and would stop myself from doing it, but
as it is, I post pretty much what I like. I try not to do
"blog" style threads, unless it's something that either: a)
At least some people here will be interested in, or, b) Only
people here would appreciate how good something is and that
I simply have to tell someone about, you know the, "I
found mask 200 for 50p at a car boot sale!" type things....

It depends what the thread is

If I'm just posting a funny link of pic or something I'm not
really botherd about how many people reply, but if I'm
asking a quiestion then I've got hopes that there will be
loads of replys. But obviously if no one know the answer
then hey ho.

1 . yes i wish to get lots of answers / get a disscusion
going.

2. see above.

3 . Yes i sometimes get frustrated if thread is ignored.
Also get frustraded when other peoples great threads get
ignored.

4 . I always ask myself that question .
Have only posted some really crappy ones when drunk.

5 .Attacking me is as useless as a mouse fart in an autum
storm.

i like my threads to sink with little or no attention being
paid to them.

in this way my threads are usually a huge success!

please god let this thread reach at least 20 posts... that
will keep my popularity in a not too bad situation

if you help me god, then I will go to church everyday from
now on

Well, in the past, I'd try to start threads and hope to get
a lot of posts, but I've become older and wiser since then.
It's all about quality over quantity. I now only start a
thread when I feel like bringing some subject or burning
question to the surface.

It typically seems to be the controversial threads that get
the most posts.

is your wish that it gets lots of answers?

.......Yes :\

or you just want your question or comment to be answered no
matter in how many posts?

.......if I'm asking a question that has one answer, than
yes,

do you feel frustrated if one of your threads gets very few
or no answeres?

.......yes, and I also hate it when something gets so off
topic that the original question will NEVER get answered,
unless virginpusher is the cause of it all, in which case it
is alright,

when you start a thread, do you ask yourself if its good
enough to be created?

.......never, if I've started a thread ther is definitely a
reason

do you ever have thoughts like this?: "I want to start this
thread but I cant cos I know this person or this other
person will "attack" me for it"

.......heh, I don't think I have, although I've had a few
bitches when behaviour has gotten bad, often directed at
spoecific people

No. I want good answers!

No. Most frustrating thing is when I get a bunch of clowns
who are destroying it.

Yes, unless I am really really bored (like now)

No, my thoughts are gramatically correct.

> i don't know, really - often i start a thread because i
want to say something but without thinking too much about
the replies i will get; sometimes i post something knowing
that no reply could satisfy me, or even some kind of topics
are fun to write but not to read...
