to record live you can use the creative mediasource player,
which has live record stereo mix, depending on your sound
card.

Okay, I've learned a thing or two in my own computer
endeavors recently and think I can help. First you have to
determine which operating system you are running. If you
have windows 2000 or higher, you have to download
betagrease5. If you have anything earlier you have to
download betagrease 4. Installing betagrease is easy, you
just need to unsnap the dowlnoad using prosnap2. When you do
that, go to "start", then "run". Type in the following
command to increase the bandwidth of the greaser to 168
M's:

"745 bgrease (7 grease) 774 inc. grease max"

That is an important step because if you don't, the
operating system will think that the greaser is really a
peeler. If you accidently peel the file instead of grease
it, you'll have to start all over, let alone make your
entire system very vulnerable to hackers. Once you get beta
grease running, just degrease the mixer you download to
ensure it runs between 800 and 1000 b/h. Hooking up the
guitar is simple. Just stick the chord in the live ducks
mouth; there's not much more I can say about this. As for
the mp3's, you have to download mpPlus1 to convert it into
an mp1, then use mpPlus2 to convert it to an mp2 then
finally mpPlus 3 to convert it to an mp3. This will of
course have a hidden file extension decrease, so you have to
use "File extension increase Pro" on it to make sure the
operating system recognizes it properly.
